Glyx Diet: Lose Weight with Low Glycemic Index

Learn how the Glyx Diet works and which foods keep your blood sugar levels stable. Includes a nutrition plan.

Glyx Diet: Lose Weight with Low Glycemic Index

The Glyx Diet is a nutritional approach that focuses on foods with a low glycemic index. The Glycemic Index (GI) measures how quickly and strongly a food raises blood sugar levels. A low GI means that blood sugar levels rise more slowly, preventing cravings and promoting fat burning.

How Does the Glyx Diet Work?

The foundation of the Glyx Diet is the Glycemic Index (GI). Foods with a low GI, such as whole grains, cause blood sugar levels to rise more slowly and remain stable. This prevents cravings and promotes fat burning. In contrast, glucose has a high GI of 100 and causes blood sugar levels to rise quickly, leading to increased insulin release.

The Importance of Glycemic Load

In addition to the GI, the Glycemic Load (GL) also plays an important role. GL considers not only the GI but also the amount of carbohydrates in a food. For example, 700 grams of cooked carrots have a similar GI to 104 grams of baguette, but the GL of the baguette is significantly higher because it puts more stress on blood sugar levels.
